SignaRoad is a brilliant heavy duty temporary ground protection system for a diverse range of terrains and sectors. Both tough and durable, these heavy duty mats are ideal for creating large access roads for both HGV’s and heavy plant as well. The overlapping flanges mean for an easy installation, as they connect with one another with special camlock fixings.
This is a brilliant new addition to our Heavy-Duty stock, and creates a fantastic finish once installed. Because the mats are interlocked, it creates a flush finish, ideal for events/festivals and other temporary access requirements, especially as the secure interlocked surface doesn’t allow mud or water to seep through.
Installation (Removal is the opposite procedure)
Manual Handling
SignaRoad is too heavy for movement by hand, therefore needs to be lifted using mechanical means. This will usually be HGV Hiab cranes or forklifts with chains or grabs.
Handling
SignaRoad has lifting points on the sides, near the corners for lifting with chains. Maximum lift capacity should always be considered with the lifting machine. One mat should be lifted at a time, from the HGV delivering them, and lowered carefully into place on the ground.
Connecting Mats
As each mat is placed to provide the ground coverage required, it is essential to connect it to the neighbouring mats using the camlock connectors. Mats should never be used without being suitably fastened together. The SignaRoad can be self-aligned using the edges to enter the position correctly.
Once in place, twist the camlock connectors to secure. Over-tightening may cause damage to the mat connection points.
